Google Workspace is strongly committed to collaborating with other platforms to ensure optimal user-friendliness for its Workspacers. Recently, there's been a new romance with the following tools:
- Encrypted Microsoft Office files can now be edited directly in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Previously, you had to use external apps or download the file to enter the password. Now, when you open them in Google Drive, you'll have the option to "Read" (the password will be preserved) or "Edit" (the password will be removed).
When a user tries to open a protected file in Drive, they're prompted to enter the password. Selecting "Preview" opens the document in read-only preview mode without removing the password. New with this launch is the "Edit" option, which opens the file for editing in Docs/Sheets/Slides and removes the file's password.

Do you still have a Dropbox tucked away in a virtual back room, with files or photos tucked away that you "someday" want to transfer to Google? Good news, because administrators can now use the new Data Migration Service to transfer data from business Dropbox accounts to Google Workspace. The migration service supports groups of up to 150 users or team folders simultaneously, with data being moved to both MyDrive and shared Google Drives. Administrators can monitor progress and any errors through comprehensive reporting. Furthermore, delta updates ensure that only the latest changes are transferred.
