Two nice AI improvements that make life in your Google Drive habitat a lot more pleasant.
1. Share Gemini workflows via the familiar Drive interface
Do you use Gemini on the web a lot within your organization? Then there's good news. Workspace users can now share snapshots of chats, canvases, and generated media directly from the Gemini app.
You don't need to learn new systems; use the familiar, consistent sharing interface you've known for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for years. (You can still choose to share conversations via a simple link.)
Your collega will receive a notification and sees the shared content below "Shared with me" and you maintain full control in MyDrive with the newly created folder "Gemini Artifacts", that is managed with the usual Drive access rights (exactly as it is when sharing a Gem deelt, remember?!).
Team members can easily view and build upon each other's Gemini workflows. This way, the entire team learns faster how to smartly use AI, and you jointly scale shared AI knowledge!

2. No more messy Drive with loose files
We all create files at a high pace, but manually creating folders and sorting documents? That often gets neglected. Fortunately, the "Organize My Files" feature is now generally available after a successful test phase.
Within your MyDrive, you'll find a new button “Suggest File Moves”. As soon as you click on it, the AI does two things:
-
Existing folders: Gemini identifies scattered, loose files and suggests moving them to existing, relevant folders.
-
New folders: AI sees logical connections between loose documents and suggests creating a brand new folder for them where necessary.

You always retain full control. Through convenient checkboxes and pop-ups, you can approve, adjust, or reject suggestions before Drive moves the files in bulk for you.
🚀 Temporary offer: Until July 15, 2026, Google Workspace temporarily gives users access to higher usage limits for Organize My Files. A perfect time to give that overflowing Drive a thorough digital spring cleaning this month!
