In the coming weeks, Google Meet Hardware users (Mimo Vue HD, Mimo Mist, Logitech Tap, Logitech Tap IP, and Lenovo Series One) expect a new interface. Those eager to try it out can already enable early preview in the Admin Console.
Overall, the redesign allows users to focus on their meetings instead of searching for controls, resulting in a more efficient and intuitive experience .
- Simplified access to key controls: The tools you use most often, like mute and raise your hand, are more prominent and easier to access, reducing time wasted and distractions searching for features.
- If you need access to more advanced features, such as camera controls or meeting layout, you can find them under the "More actions" menu. This keeps the main interface uncluttered.
- You'll also notice a change to the pre-meeting user interface, with prominent options for entering a meeting code or nickname, and a dropdown menu for Webex or Zoom meetings.
