If you now navigate to Meet, you'll be greeted by a completely revamped homepage, a smart and clear dashboard with rich information. You'll immediately see your upcoming meetings, who will be attending, relevant context, and more. Plus, with one click, you have access to the minutes and files from your previous meetings. A perfect cockpit to oversee your workday.

Smart notes with visual screenshots
Gemini's Take notes for me feature was already useful, but it has now truly become next-level. Gemini not only summarizes what was discussed in text, but now also automatically takes screenshots of important moments. Was a complex slide presented or a brilliant idea sketched on a digital whiteboard? AI picks out the most important images at the right moment and adds them to the notes.
All meeting artifacts neatly collected on Google Drive
No more panic after the meeting wondering: "Where did that summary go again?" Google Meet now collects all your meeting documentation – the AI notes, screenshots, chat history, and recording – in one organized folder on Google Drive. This way, you have everything readily available and can effortlessly share it with colleagues who couldn't attend.

Hybrid working is fantastic, until you're in a meeting room and the equipment isn't cooperating. With these updates, that's a thing of the past.
Quick login with a short code
Normally, Google Meet Hardware automatically recognizes your laptop or phone via ultrasonic resonance (Connect Room) for Companion Mode. Super handy... when it works. For those times when the room's acoustics interfere or technology falters, there's now an excellent fallback. You can now log in to the hardware with a simple short code. No fuss with cables or endless reconnections: type the code on your screen and you're in!
In-room problem reporting
Is the camera glitching? Is the microphone in the room crackling? Previously, you would have to send an email to the IT department after (or during?!) the meeting. With the new 'in-room problem reporting', you can now report technical issues directly via the control panel in the meeting room. The IT administrator immediately receives a notification, with the correct context of the room, so it can be fixed while you continue your meeting.
Seamless participation from Safari
Apple users, rejoice! You no longer need to specially open Google Chrome or download an app for the best Meet experience. Google has significantly expanded support, allowing you to now join directly from Safari with all the bells and whistles. Fast, stable, and completely native.
The latest (and previous) updates in Google Meet are all about one thing: removing friction. Screenshots collected on Google Drive, seamless participation via Safari, or immediate dial-in with a short hardware code; you can concentrate on the content instead of the technology.
